  • How will I be invoiced for lessons?
AMA provides email invoices monthly for the following month. Tuition for each month is due on the 25th of the previous month in order to secure student spots on the schedule. If at any point a student wishes to pause their lessons, the adult student or parent should notify AMA by email at Catherine@AlleghenyMusicAcademy.com, and their Instructor, by the first of the month. In the event of a missed lesson, please contact your instructor and AMA as soon as possible. We will make every effort to provide a make-up lesson, at the Instructor's discretion. We value our Instructors and will pay them for the time that they reserve each month.

AMA accepts checks, cash (only at our Chestnut Street location), PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo (@AlleghenyMusicAcademy).

  • How does AMA ensure the safety of students/teachers during the pandemic?
We are currently following the same COVID-19 regulations and guidelines put forth by local school districts, and the PA Department of Health. For in-person voice students, students and teachers may wear a special mask that the teacher includes in the materials list. Students and teachers maintain a social distance of six feet during lessons. For in-person wind instrument students, masks are at the discretion of the parent/teacher/adult student. Parents, instructors, and students discuss mask policies for wind students during the initial conference and adjust them according to need. Some teachers require special masks during lessons. Students and teachers maintain social distance of six feet during lessons. At AMA, student and teacher safety are paramount. Please feel free to ask your teacher or Ms. Cocco any questions you have about this policy.
